cup
rice flour
1/2
cup
freshly grated coconut
Salt to taste
Water
as required
Oil for cooking
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, add the rice flour and grated coconut. Mix well.
Gradually add water and mix well to make a smooth batter. The batter should be thin and runny.
Add salt to taste and mix well.
Heat a non-stick pan on medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly in a circular motion.
Drizzle a little oil around the edges of the dosa and let it cook for a minute or until the edges start to turn brown.
Using a spatula, loosen the edges of the dosa and flip it over. Cook for another 30 seconds to a minute.
Remove the dosa from the pan and repeat the process with the remaining batter.
Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sambar.
Notes
You can adjust the consistency of the batter by adding more or less water. The batter should be thin and runny to make thin and crispy dosas.
