Aloo Tikki

Ingredients
  

  • 4 medium-sized potatoes
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp dry mango powder amchur
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Boil the potatoes until they are cooked through. Peel and mash them in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chili powder, dry mango powder, salt, and chopped coriander leaves to the mashed potatoes. Mix well.
  • Add cornflour to the potato mixture and mix well again.
  • Take a small portion of the potato mixture and shape it into a round flat tikki.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the tikkis on medium heat until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  • Serve hot with chutneys and yogurt.
