For dosa:

  • Dosa batter rice and lentil batter
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

For chicken filling:

  • 1 lb boneless chicken cut into small pieces
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking


  • Heat a non-stick tawa or griddle and pour a ladleful of dosa batter.
  • Spread the batter in a circular motion to make a thin pancake.
  • Drizzle a little oil around the edges and on top of the pancake.
  • Cook until crispy and golden brown on both sides.
  • Remove the dosa from the griddle and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, ginger paste, and garlic paste.
  • Add chopped onions and saut√© until they turn translucent.
  • Add chicken pieces, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt to taste.
  • Cook the chicken until it is tender and fully cooked.
  • Place the chicken filling on top of the dosa.
  • Roll the dosa tightly and cut into pieces.
  • Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
