  • 2 cups Dosa batter
  • 2-3 tbsp Podi chutney powder
  • 1-2 tsp Ghee
  • Coconut chutney or sambar for serving

For Podi chutney powder:

  • 1/4 cup Chana dal
  • 1/4 cup Urad dal
  • 6-7 Dry red chilies
  • 1/4 cup Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste


  • To make the podi chutney powder, dry roast chana dal, urad dal, red chilies, and curry leaves until golden brown.
  • Let it cool and grind into a fine powder. Add salt to taste and mix well.
  • Heat a dosa tawa and pour a ladleful of dosa batter. Spread it in a circular motion to make a thin dosa.
  • Sprinkle 1-2 teaspoons of podi chutney powder on top of the dosa.
  • Add 1-2 teaspoons of ghee on top of the podi powder.
  • Cook until crispy and golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
